Progress
And so
without awareness
and without attention
without focus or conscious input from me
my journey of redemption continues.
One foot in front of the other
always seeking the Light
my journey continues.
"Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace."

If it was written in 3rd person it would sound a lot like a narrator summing up an epic novel. For some reason I have the LotR narrator speaking it in my head.
A POEM?! Really?! Wow. You're really branching out.
Andrew - Hm, I like it. I haven't seen the movies in a while and had to go review to get the voice back in my head. In a way, it is the summing up of an epic novel; the novel of my life.
Em - Well, I scrawled a sentence or two before realizing it needed some enforced pauses for contemplation. If Mike can string random word-thoughts together into a free verse poem, I can play that game too. I happen to think it turned out rather well, especially for the entire ten minutes I spent writing.
And sometimes trying new things is a worthy endeavor.
