"Howdy-check"

"Howdy Check", "Checkity check", "Check one, check one-two". These phrases, and others that are similar, are something I've heard many times in the last few years. Usually I hear them from behind a mixer, but occasionally through my in-ear monitors. Hearing those phrases usually evokes a feeling of expectation, a feeling that what happens next will be fun and exciting.

Looking at the date on my last post, I haven't touched this blog in about two and a half years. My life has changed substantially since then, and for a long time, I wasn't in a place to write about it. Recently, I've been encouraged to restart (or resume) my writing, but haven't actually done it. This post became both a way to make sure I still knew how to run the requisite tools and that they still worked and a way to gauge my ability and others' interest.

With the possibility of resuming my blog comes some soul-searching, though. Since my life is in such a different place now, do I leave the previous posts as a historical record, remove them to remove any inaccuracies, or heavily edit them to maintain some sense of continuity? (Editing history is a dangerous thing..."but we have always been at war with Eurasia.") Thoughts?

I think you should leave the old ones intact. Change logs are a good thing.
